Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor also known as a producer, director and actress. Her work has been recognized for her roles in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. Holly Hunter has won numerous awards, including her first Oscar for her role in the film Piano. Actresses have a long career of involvement in Broadway as well as Off-Broadway productions. Acting has always been her obsession. In the fifth grade she played Helen Keller in an original show. In the fifth grade, after having mumps she lost her hearing in her left ear. But she didn't let that stop her. While in college, she took classes in theatre as well as later moving from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to New York City in pursuit of her dreams. She met Beth Henley in an elevator and the pair collaborated in Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. When she moved from New York to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to get movie roles. The role of a supporting actress was found for Swing Shift. She has since appeared in numerous films and television series and movies throughout a span of over three decades. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has also won her the Women in Film Lucy Award.
